Nelson Airport Mini Guide
About Nelson Airport
Nelson Airport is situated almost in the centre of the town of Nelson which is at the very top of South Island. It is the base of Air Nelson which is New Zealand's largest domestic airline. Although it only handles domestic flights it is still used by over a million passengers a year and is the fourth busiest airport in New Zealand. There is one terminal with adequate facilities for visitors, including a ATM, Wi-Fi access, a private meeting/farewell room and a cafe selling drinks and snacks.
There are a number of companies operating shuttle buses from the airport to Nelson and nearby Richmond and all the main car rental companies are represented at the airport. There are no airport hotels, but the airport is so close to town you have plenty of accommodation to choose from.
