If this is a little too adventurous then you can climb the historic Auckland Harbour Bridge for a birds eye view of the city and it's harbours.
For sailing and water enthusiasts Auckland takes some beating, you can participate as crew on an America's Cup yacht for a couple of hours, take a trip on a Jet Boat, go big game fishing or kayaking. For a more sedate way of exploring Auckland on the water there is a harbour tour on either a traditional Maori sailing canoe or with a dining cruise on a luxury yacht.
